What's involved
- Clean the area and confirm the leak source
- Remove coils, wiring, PCV hoses and anything over the cover
- Clean the sealing surfaces and install new gaskets and tube seals
- torque in sequence
- Run the engine, check for leaks and clean off old oil

FAQ
Is it the valve cover or something worse?
Clean the area and recheck, or use UV dye. Oil running down can come from the oil filler cap, cam seals or the timing cover.
Why replace the tube seals?
Leaking tube seals put oil in the plug wells and cause misfires. They usually come in the gasket set.
Does it need RTV?
Some engines need sealant at the corners where the timing cover meets the head. Follow the service information.
