How to use

  1. When a job is done, log the RO, customer, vehicle, job, date, mileage and the parts and labor warranty you gave.
  2. The table shows whether each warranty is active and when it expires (by date and by mileage). Enter a current mileage when the car comes back to check it.
  3. If the vehicle comes back for the same repair, click "Comeback" and pick a cause. Workmanship, part failure and misdiagnosis count as shop-related.
  4. Watch the comeback-rate summary to spot patterns by cause or job.
  5. Export a CSV regularly as a backup, or to move to another device (Import CSV).

FAQ

What counts as a comeback?

A vehicle that returns for the same concern or repair after you've worked on it. This tracker lets you log every return and pick a cause, so you can separate shop-related comebacks from unrelated new problems.

What is a good comeback rate?

It depends on the type of work and how you count. Track your own rate over time by cause and job type. Trends matter more than any single benchmark.

How is warranty status calculated?

Each warranty runs from the repair date and mileage. It's expired once the date passes, or once the current mileage you enter passes the mileage limit, whichever comes first. A blank or 0 term means no limit on that measure.

Where is my data stored? Can I back it up?

Only in this browser on this device (localStorage). Use Export CSV regularly as a backup, and Import CSV to restore it or move it to another device. Clearing browser data deletes it.

Can I print the list?

Yes. Print gives a clean table of repairs, warranty status and comebacks, plus the summary.
