Power Window Regulator / Motor Replacement: labor quote guide
Typical labor time (approximate)
About 1 to 2.5 hours. About 1 to 2.5 hours per door. Doors with modular carriers or glass that has to come out are on the higher end.
Approximate only: a rough general range, not labor-guide data. Times vary widely by vehicle and condition. Check a labor guide for the exact vehicle. How we estimate
The quote buttons open the labor-quote calculator prefilled; "Start an estimate" adds a labor line to the estimate & invoice generator. Add your own rate, parts and tax.

General outline only. Follow the service information for the specific vehicle.

FAQ
Motor or regulator?
A motor that runs with a grinding or clicking sound and the glass doesn't move points to the regulator. No sound and power present points to the motor.
Do I need to initialize the window?
Many auto up/down windows need a reset procedure after the battery or motor is disconnected.
Why do door wires break?
The harness flexes in the door jamb. Intermittent window or lock issues often trace to broken wires there.
